How many cities in the world can boast about a National Natural Reserve in the urban area? London has got Richmond park (Zone 4), the largest of the Royal Parks. The wildest one, with huge woodland gardens, hundreds of ancient trees and more than 500 red and fallow deer.

To reach Richmond gate Lodge, the closest gate from the tube station, you can either walk for about 20 mins or take the Bus 371 from stop E towards Kingston and get off at the American University stop. If you wish to admire some deer, walk straight to the centre: crossing the park from the High Gate Pond towards the Pond Plantation you will have many chances to get close to these beautiful ruminant mammals. It’s an amazing park, probably my favorite park ever!
