Orange is a fruit that symbolizes the growth and maturity in my life. Denied and mistreated during my childhood, when I was asked to eat it to get vitamin C, it is now one of the fruits I enjoy eating the most. When I first saw this push up orange smoothie I thought “Wow, I need to try it”.
I was intrigued by the Averie’s recipe: her pictures evoke bright, fresh and fruity mornings. Her smoothie is dense, creamy, colorful. The recipe I now present is similar, yet very different. I haven’t had to squeeze any oranges or, even better, use a juice concentrate, in which juices and nectar from frozen fruit can be found.
This drink is 100% natural, fresh and homemade. In addition it is effortless, you just need to peel the oranges! Everything goes into the blender where the ice smoothens the texture and the oranges release their juice to perfection. Sweetened with a bit of honey and cinnamon, this orange smoothie tastes heavenly. Try it and let me know.
